The Berstler Family - Brenda, John, and Elizabeth- have operated Bryn Brooke Manor for a decade, welcoming all manner of guests to their special property. Much has changed since they moved in on a very snowy day in January 1999. Most of the property has been restored to its former glory, Brenda has published two books and established Savor New York, John has discovered organic farming and green energy, and Elizabeth has grown from a fine young girl to an exemplary young woman.

Why "Bryn Brooke Manor"?
Many a "lord of the manor" named his property in honor of the special women in his life. "Bryn" is a diminutive of the Gaelic name "Brenda"; it also means "hill" in Welsh (think of Bryn Mawr College) and, coincidentally, our property sits, rather imposingly, on a hillside. "Brooke" is the lovely Elizabeth's middle name; "Manor" is in honor of Cooperstown founder, William Cooper's, first residence, "The Manor".
